Yesterday, DSTLRY announced its White House robot romance. This is an inventive and timely new comic project by Eisner winner Chipzdrsky, the most famous of his contributions to Timeway, Batman, Daredevil, Daredevil, Doctor Who and Star Trek Comic Book series. The creative team is concluded by Ariana Maher’s expert colorist Tamra Bonvillan and Letterer.

White House Robot Romance is a fascinating science fiction romance that tells the story of two kitchen-bound robots free from programming and in the midst of political upheavals that could lead to the American and Canadian war. When Chef-9 discovers that Service-1 is about to be deactivated, he makes a bold decision. He leaves his post, ignores the rules and escapes on Service-1 to the bustling streets of Washington, DC, but this hopeless act sparks an international fuss. Service-1 houses the finest information that could shift the dynamics of power between two countries. As tensions rise and the military mobilizes, these rogue robots become targets for both government agents and corporate spies.

Zdarsky and Stott’s new sci-fi romance screams in 2025. “I was able to write a love story between Service-1 and Chef-9 and see their love come to life thanks to Rachel and Tamura. I hope everyone falls into these two, as I have!”

Stott added: I’m leading my love for classic sci-fi, spice thrillers, and of course Star Cross Romance. It was an exciting experience to bring these characters back to life and make them feel human. ”

All issues of the series are printed in DSTLRY’s stunning prestige format. Each issue has a wraparound cover with durable cover stock with refined spot gloss and 48 beautifully crafted interior pages.

“We were immediately hooked on the Robot Romance at the White House,” explains DSTLRY co-founder and CCO Chip Mosher. “This is a series that speaks directly to our time: a quest for connections in a world dominated by paranoia, conflict and technology. Is it thrilling, timely, and… oddly romantic?”
