aipt: Jordan, bringing out a whole new venom #4 and what a caper we have (at the time of posting this article). This issue not only satisfies many fans who asked about other symbiosis (such as sleepers), but also apparently eliminates yet another suspect!
Before diving into the question, let’s take a look at some of the data.
When we last checked in, fans were sure it was Rick Jones, so fans rose 1% and now 56% think it’s Rick. Paul and MJ close out the #2 and #3 spots at 10% respectively. That makes me wonder: do you have big plans for Paul and MJ in this ongoing story?
Jordan: Of course we do. We don’t bring such a big player from Spider-Man without taking full advantage of them!
It’s like Rick. Obviously people were wrong about Rick being a whole new poison, but there was a pretty good reason to actually lead to something suspicious. We don’t bring in great characters like Rick.
We had to make Rick do something really exciting and meaty. We look forward to the next issue where people can see the sleeper agents in action!
AIPT: The final edition has another poll question. What is the all-new Venom’s Sidekick (if he had)? Will any of these tickle your fantasies?

Jordan: OK, “little new poison” really gave me laughs. That was amazing. But for a serious answer, I enjoy the idea of Howler, except for the fact that it unnecessarily shams the sleeper. Deadpool’s book reminds me of Princess.
AIPT: In the all-new Venom #4, Venom’s head explodes (or embedded for another word). What is the appeal of a creative team’s mind? ?
Jordan: We’re just tackling the idea that Venom is bigger than our host, so the idea of having a free head is just a fun to play with. The previous volume presents the idea of Dylan in a symbiont, and thinks he thinks it is at least the size of his father. He’s a goo guy and part of him is all goo! It’s a fun tool in the toolbox!

aipt: serious damage on modok rooftops, from curiosity, is it a particular building in New York?
Jordan: Yeah, that’s the real place here in Hudson Yards in Manhattan. You can really go up to that observation deck and look out over the city very safely! When Al Ewing comes to town for Marvel Summits or New York Comiccon, he wants to check out the actual locations to host the series, so once he comes to town, he can put together an all-new Venom Walking tour.

aipt: I missed seeing Luke Cage in No. 4.
Jordan: We’ll certainly see him again, but it could be a beat. But he says he wants to deal with the venom issue and he says it’s as good as he says! Another character is too good.
aipt: Richard Newby asks: Are there any major plans for their own symbiosis with Flash Thompson and Liz Allen?
Jordan: There is definitely a deal between Flash’s plans and his wounds. That being said… I’m honestly not sure at this moment we don’t have any particular plans for Liz. We are sure we’ll return to her, but for now she’s off stage.

AIPT: Y. Lu asks: Now that Madame Musk is found to be not venomous, what motivates her to be a suspect?
Jordan: I’ll once again introduce you to creating a spreadsheet of candidates that we may have weighed each of our strengths and weaknesses. She is a neat villain and can present you with ideas on whether this new poison is actually reliable. The idea of her reminiscent of an interesting story also serves as a good antagonist if it turns out to be a not host.
Furthermore, we had returned the poison to a more ground level orbit, closer to Spider-Man. When her name first appeared, I was a little skeptical, but I was really happy that we chose her.
AIPT: Joslin asks when Spider-Boy is on the scene.
Jordan: I think Venom has a little hill to get over it before that. When most people last saw or heard him, they saw Eddie on display in a live wrestling match. I think he must overcome that perception before many kids start auditions and become “new poison.” Yeah, yeah, that’s a fun title.

AIPT: Alan Smithee asks: Are you going to do more books like the “Foes” series? I feel a lot of interest in the villains that need to operate outside the law and plan around superheroes, reaching the path of villains instead of heroism, various motivations from revenge against others to mental health issues, and how job safety is scary as your teammates are dangerous. I think you could call it a genocide, but the genocide feels quite one dimension.
Jordan: Well, I don’t think our Eddie Brock: Massacre book will be one dimension. There is a significant share of many push-and-pull and mind games. That being said, certainly not like a great enemy book. Speaking of Venom War Books, check out the Venom War: Zombiotes series by Cavan Scott and Juan Jose Ryp.
I was actually making a book called Spider-Man’s Destiny Enemy during one world under destiny, but unfortunately there was no green light.
AIPT: Return to your days of editing Jordan’s X-Men. Harry G asks: Which X-Man will have the best combination with Venom?
Jordan: Nightcrawler, Duh. Who doesn’t want the poison of swashbuckling? Additionally, Kurt was able to use symbiosis to infiltrate where he didn’t want to be recognized. In my days with X-Men, I enjoyed making the cart a little more Spider-Man-like. It stands out a bit in the most visible spooky Spider-Man book, as well as in the amazing Night’s Closer Miniseries.

aipt: Grimoireriley asks: I think my favorite part of the whole new poison is the drama between Dylan and his new family. As someone who discovered Paul was attractive in the Zeb Wells run on Zeb Wells’ Amazing Spider-Man, I was surprised to see him play a more important role. How did the decision to put Dylan in MJ take care of Paul?
Jordan: There were many factors, but it was a huge opportunity we didn’t want to let go, knowing that MJ and Paul wouldn’t be a regular cast member for the amazing Spider-Man. They were a couple who had just lost the children they were caring for, and Dylan was a child who had no real solid family life. It seemed like a natural fit and was a great way to put chocolate and peanut butter together.

AIPT: Hank Orbin asks: Is the money the rest of the Egan Lak symbiotics in Venom War #5, or is it just a stylistic choice?
Jordan: Gold certainly comes from Eganrak. When it all became part of the end of the Poison War, it was definitely a multi-stage idea that in the Venom War he would look all gold and then when he reached an entirely new poison, we would be black and gold. So I make sense. All of that was partly a stylistic choice…but it was something we expressed in the story. Yes, Eganrak has entered the poison and has made a change for him, but it is still ongoing.

AIPT: Mustafa Lodhi asks: Will all the new poison interact with other former hosts other than Dylan over time? Think Eddie/Carnage, Parker, Gargan, Thompson, and Deadpool. Many possibilities.
Jordan: Thank you for recognizing that Deadpool was a former host. Anyway – yes, certainly a whole new poison interacts with most of those people. Most of them already have very realistic and solid plans.
aipt: And the final question, Jordan. Spider-Verse vs. Venomverse #1 has focus on March 31st (from May 14th). I wanted to ask about this. I recently spoke to Kyle Hegans and he said he wasn’t ready. Is there anything you want to bully?
Jordan: It’s a very fun series. It’s an explosion to delve into the multiverse and come up with a new crazy version of the character. I mentioned the reincarnation of poison just a moment ago, and the Spiderverse web: A new bloody one-shot is already on the net of poison. Venomverse series!
Kyle, Matt and Luciano are all kicking the ass in the series and took it in a truly amazing, exciting direction. There are so many big surprises!

AIPT: From Kyle, we know that Luciano is crushing the design of the character (we love here the “tongue beard,” a symbiotic who looks like a pirate with a tongue). Especially your favorite new Symbiote or Spider-Man Are you excited that people check out?
Jordan: It’s actually a redesign of Viking Poison from the reincarnation of the aforementioned poison! But yeah – Luciano nails every design! He actually just became a pair of people who dominate completely last week, but don’t see until Issue 3, where the characters are finally fully revealed…
