When Wildcat Arson hits her new employer where she lives, Shauna Wickle is drawn into a brutal, vindictic quilting world as sisterhood and community guidance deteriorates into internal conflict. Promising to put an end to all her financial worries, shauna must cross the enemy line and infiltrate the executives of the “human-skinned monster.” But they look like that… okay?

“I’m not saying I’ve entered the center of darkness to study this story,” Alison said. “But I certainly went to some quilting shops. I think this is the first direct market comic book to try and clean the lid from the previous secret world of secret patchwork. I would like to thank my collaborators at Kobk… mainly for their courage.”

Great British Uplift: Kill or Quilt

Authors: John Allison, Max Sarin
Illustrator: Sarin
Color: Sammy Bolas
Release date: April 9, 2025

Milwaukee, Oregon (March 3) – Dark Horse Comics introduces British conflict. It combines writer John Allison, illustrator Sarin, colorist Sammy Bolas (Bump-off of Great Britain, Bunny vs. Monkey) and letterer Jim Campbell (Welcome to Maynard, Monsters are my business) into four issues, combining the perfect patchwork of comics. Question #1 arrives in spring 2025 and also features a variant cover drawn by Lissa Treyman.

To all her financial worries, Shauna has to cross the enemy lines and infiltrate the executives of the “human-skinned monster.” But they look like that… okay?

“I’m not saying I’ve entered the center of darkness to study this story,” Alison said. “But I certainly went to some quilting shops. I think this is the first direct market comic book to try and clean the lid from the previous secret world of secret patchwork. I would like to thank my collaborators at Kobk… mainly for their courage.”

“I’m grateful to have worked with Sammy,” added Sarin. I was overwhelmingly happy to be able to make this homage to her. It wouldn’t have been possible without Sammy! ”

Great Bump Off in the UK: Kill of Be Quilt #1 (4) will be released in stores on April 9, 2025 with sewn together. Currently, pre-orders are available for pre-orders from your local comic shop for $4.99.

Praise for the British uplift:

“I have an endless appetite for the biggest comic mind in the business to offer Alison and Sarin next. Great British bump-offs have all the signature wit,

The energy that makes them very loved. John Allison’s writing is instantly recognized: sharp and funny, crackling every page. Max Sarin’s art pops with characters. That’s joy. As always, I get hooked. I need more. ” – Kate Beaton (duck)

“It’s a perfect parody for the UK’s Bakeoff and Agatha Christie simultaneous pitch, and it’s also one of the funniest titles of 2023. The Great British Clash is a dark, charming, stupid equal measure, and perhaps the only drawback is that we can’t spend more time in the tent with the amateur baker/detective shauna.” – CBR

“Like a great dessert, or murder mystery, the great British clashes are seemingly sweet and addictive.” – AIPT Comics
