The sense of danger is higher than ever before than the Ultimate Spider-Man, and reading issue 14 this week is even more exciting. Kraven lured Harry Osborn and Peter Parker…and he knows their secret identity. Now trapped in a silly land, the two are protected by only their clothes on their backs, hunting. The Ultimate Spider-Man #14 is probably the biggest turning point in the series.

Ultimate Spider-Man #14 is where Peter’s son Richard Parker fights the Black Cat. That’s where we left off the final issue, and the two are intertwined with the misunderstood hero fight hero. They are both heroes. At the very least, that’s what the Black Cat guarantees to Richard.

They chat mainly on this issue and feel like writer Jonathan Hickman is building up for future relationships. Marco Checchetto draws black cat hair in the coolest way. Their scene is four pages across the issue, serving as a lighter and more positive element.

The longest sequence of this issue follows Peter and Harry trying to survive. They have been stuck in savage land for weeks, living away from dinosaurs. It is not clear why Kraven is making them live so long, but it raises their despair.

Amazing wrinkles arrive via Moleman. Moleman reveals some battles during battle between Sinister Six. He and Mysterio play an important role in this issue, helping to give Peter and Harry hope.

In this issue, several major Spider-Man Races develop their heads and excite longtime fans of the characters. One is his spider sensation, or at least Peter’s perception. The other is that Peter is being tested to kill or choose not to. The other is a big mistake on Peter’s part, returning to let go of the robber who killed Uncle Ben. The creative team solidifies the elements that make him Spider-Man in all space.

Check Chet’s art is still amazing. He can demonstrate Spider-Man’s speed and agility in some tense sequences when he dodges Craven’s attack. Mysterio strengthens the series’ supernatural elements, and Checkchet makes him believe he is far more powerful in this universe. Above all, the savage land is a clear one with a good background overall. It is drawn so richly you may miss it because it is so immersed.

Ultimate Spider-Man #14 stands out as a thrilling and visually appealing issue that cleverly sets the stage for the series’ dramatic development. These dramatic developments are essentially part of Spider-Man’s DNA and are thrilling to long-time fans.

High tension and attractive action sequences

Immersive dynamic artwork and detailed background

Effectively use classic Spider-Man ratios to deepen character development

Some narrative gaps, such as Kraven’s long-term mercy, leave questions unanswered
