Marvel continues to be the Spider Girl craze by giving new characters their own solo comic storylines. Written by Torunn Gronbekk in the art of Andrew Risso, The Comic comes straight from Dan Slott and Paco Media’s Spider-Boy pages, kicking off with a new adventure starting in June this year. The comic explores the origins and backstory of Spider-Girl, revealing some new, invisible mutant abilities. It takes place after a fallout with Bullseye.
“Spider Girl is an explosive explosion. Rejoice, profane, mischievous, righteous. Leaving the Bullseye, she is fresh in New York, explores her new home, fearlessness and innocence and embrace her powers,” explained Gronbeck. “She dives enthusiastically into battles that others think about better (often against some of our favorite Spidey villains!).
“Andre Risso’s stunning pages are caught up in energy and action, bringing this story to life in the comics alone,” she added.

The rise of Marvel Comics’ latest breakout spider heroes has been announced at ComicsPro! Spin out from the Spider-Boy page and a whole new Spider-Girl adventure begins in June! The new ongoing series is written by Torunn Grønbekk, known for her acclaimed works under titles such as Venom and Toll, and depicted by newcomer André Risso, marking his exciting Marvel Comics debut.
Created last year by Dan Slot and Paco Medina, this young new hero from Hawaii was originally trained to become a villainous fanhouse under Bullseye! As a mutant with unique power-absorbing capabilities, her powers became Haywire recently when she fought Spider Boy. Now, sticking to the dark, twisted version of Spider-Boy’s Arachnid Powerset, she carves out her place in the Marvel Universe as the new Spider-Girl! The new series sheds light on the character’s backstory, revealing the full range of her mutant abilities, and revealing whether she can really leave a way to stand with her villain as a hero.
Sensational Spider Girl is here!
After Bullseye’s betrayal, Spider Girl is about to take on being a hero. However, when a conflict with the pest reveals that the main Spider-Nemesis is tracking her down, Spider-Girl has to figure out what this villain wants.
