Here’s what writer Ryan North described the project:
“The origins of Crypto have always been at a high level,” said writer Ryan North. “The little guy starts with Crypton and ends up on Earth and helps Superman fight crime. The chance to truly define Crypto is lost a bit if he lands alone in the strange alien world of Earth. It was truly fascinating to show what a dog experiences. I also fell in love with the idea of treating Crypto as an actual dog. He doesn’t talk. Mike Norton’s art is It captures exactly what is needed to be “sayed” in every scene. Crypto tells us who he is and how all dogs feel. Through his expressions and actions, he snuggles up against his body language and bark, giving him a sigh and sigh. Dogs are some of the most expressive animals and we absolutely love them. I wanted to tell stories that really captured and respected these animals, especially Crypto. ”
Artist Mike Norton is unfamiliar with working on comics, especially battle pugs, with his dogs. It’s not surprising he called this a “dream project.”
Here’s how the publisher explains this Krpto miniseries:
Crypto in DC: Crypton’s Last Dog Comic Book Series begins a Crypto journey on the planet Crypton. Jor-El and Lara are working on a ship that can keep someone alive in interstellar space, but the first test – devastatingly wrong with the crypto inside, the dog is thought to have been lost . Unknown to them, Crypto and his spaceship only entered an unexpected space-time gateway, days later, from his point of view – even if it had been decades in real time, Landing on Earth.
North has detailed the structure of the Crypto MiniSeries:
“Each issue in this miniseries is a complete short story, combined to tell the perfect story of Crypto’s Super Dog. Through these stories, Crypto faces a strange new world. He He travels from town to town, meets people, become friends, sometimes helps them solve their problems, sometimes finds their own problems. He is a very good dog.”
He added:
“In the face of evil, Crypto will never give up hope. He is strong, he is brave enough to be kind.”
