Los Angeles 02/20/2025 – Today’s Skybound and Image Comics have announced a brand new comic book series Blood & Thunder from author Benito Sereno (Invincible Present: Atom Eve) and artist EJ SU (Tech Jacket All-Star Creative Team) ), colorist Msassyk (Gotham Academy), and Letterer Rus Wooton (Transformers), Kirkman (Invincible, Walking Dead, Invalid Rival, with original story concepts and creative consulting from the visionary creator Robert ). The debut issue of The New Action Epic will arrive at the Comic Book Shop on May 7th, 2025.

With the Earth set in a distant future where alien species are integrated into a new society, Blood & Thunder is played by a whole new set of rules and a full load of new crimes to solve.

Bounty Hunter Akerdama “Blood” Bledsoe and her Catant-talked gun, Thunder, is the best at bringing in the bad guys. But as the Galaxy’s most dangerous criminal escapes from prison, Blood Hunt brings her a path to unleash a secret lock on her past, present and future…and that’s when things really get worse.

“Brad & Thunder is a concept I’ve been wanting to share with the world for quite some time. Robert Kirkman states: “Monster! Alien! Space! Guns talking! More exciting Find the comic! Blood & Thunder! Shut up!

“What happens when the best fighters in the colony finally find something to fight? That’s what we want to find at Blood & Thunder. This is what EJ SU and I have to say. It’s a book that gave us room to stretch our legs to explore the strange new worlds and the people who live in them,” added Benito Sereno. “No one can wait to see the vibrant, explosive energy.

“I’m excited to partner with my old friend Benito and working with Robert again is icing on the cake,” EJ Su said. “If you like to venture out in monsters, aliens, creatures and strange new worlds, you’ll love this. It was an explosion dreaming of the inhabitants of different environments and those specific environments. There are many actions, but what else can we ask for? Everyone can’t wait to see what we’ve been cooking.”

In addition to the main covers of EJ Su and Msassyk, the lineup of variant covers for Blood & Thunder #1 also includes a 1:10 incentive variant cover by Andie Tong & Rex Lokus and an order-open cover by David Lopez. 1:25 incentive variant cover by Bernard Chang, J. 1:50 incentive variant cover, blank sketch cover by Scott Campbell.

“You can quickly see how much your creative team loves science fiction storytelling,” says Nachie Marsham, senior editor at Skybound. “Blood & Thunder brings a mixture of epic range and a deep desire to keep on grasping and guessing readers with high octane askic. The world is big, the story is focused, and the art is explosive.”

Blood & Thunder #1 (coming month code | SRP: $3.99) is available on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at comic book shops and digital platforms such as Amazon Kindle, Apple Books, and Google Play.
