“Tetsuohara’s stunning follow-up to the fist that defines the generation of North Stars – a shaking samurai epic inspired by the legend of reality.”

Long before today’s Japan, there was a land that was caught up in a century of war between hundreds of feudal lords. Spanning this most chaotic and renowned era in Japanese history, there was Otani, collage-free and unparalleled on the battlefield, unlike the others. Loved by his friends, praised by his enemies, completely confused the authoritative figure, he went out of his way to break all the rules except his rules – his warrior code . There was no more thrilling way to experience the golden age of shoguns, samurai and ninjas, adopted from the classic historical novels by the iconic artist of North Star Fist. I’ve lived there until now!

And that’s rap! On the final day of the event, Kodansha is eagerly waiting for fans to print fresh titles. Half of the new license is the Boys’ Love series. Ohatako will make her English debut, while Guri Nojiro and Markido will be joined by famous artists from the English-speaking BL community in the lineup.

Kodansha also caters to fans who are craving something outside the romance genre! They continue the epic fist of North Star, introducing the two-volume horror series Sayuri, and adding the action/sci-fi series Kaijin Fugeki: Kindled Spirits. There’s a lot to be excited about!

Have you been able to check out one (or more) series from the 2025 manga Bingo? Or were you expecting more? Personally, I was excited to see one of the titles I proposed in the feedback form, flip-flip, slowly flip-flip! As always, we look forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments!
