Dynamite Entertainment has officially sold out Transformers’ 40th Anniversary trading card, marking the conclusion that it won the year-long celebration of the beloved Hasbro franchise milestone! Collecting over $250,000 on Kickstarter, the card includes artwork by Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman, making it a rare collectible card that is difficult to find in the world.
The highly popular set, paying homage to the original Generation 1 era of Transformers, featured four major product editions: Collector’s Set, Deluxe Set, Hanger Box and Blaster Box. Each edition sold out completely from production runs, including direct sales of Dynamite and the success of the Kickstarter campaign that ended in October.
These collectible cards feature incredible Transformers artwork, depicting from Hasbro’s large archives, while still featuring contributions from top artists around the world. Iconic Autobots and Decepticons bring stunning details to life, including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Ironhide and Soundwave.
For fans who missed it, checking with local retailers may provide you with the opportunity to secure a set before it disappears completely.
