Gi Joe #4 Review

Gi Joe’s biggest draw, besides reunion of Josh Williamson and Tom Riley’s creative team, we also showcase how an honorable team of soldiers has been dropped by Cobra’s army and is literally being called out. Masu. Cobras not only have weapons of energy, but also excellent firepower due to their strength in numbers, but it makes sense. Gi Joe #4 is just getting Joes’ heat as Crimson Twins Xamot and Tomax have entered the fight.

But Williamson doesn’t just shake things up with Jaws. In the course of Gi Joe #4, he reveals the tensions in Cobra’s rank. Both villains are already on each other’s unstable ground. The Cobra commander has the means to enact the next stage of world domination, but Destra begins to move behind him, illuminating the explosive match of powder kegs on their faces.

On the other side, Jaws compete like hell, leaving the Cobra crosshairs. This is where Duke makes a seemingly unexpected choice. And while it shocks his teammates (and possibly readers), it keeps things exciting. He knows that readers prefer Jigs where he expects Zag, as he has read Williamson’s works, especially his current Superman run. Keeping the similarities of Superman, Duke’s decision depends on not wanting to see innocent people hurt in Joe/Cobra crossfire.

Skybound

What really keeps the Gi Joe #4 exciting is Reilly’s artwork. The opening page begins with Duke, Baronness and Risk in the middle of the chase scene. Each panel not only promotes one of the Jaws, but also introduces the characters. Barones is always worried about his safety, and the risks are quite pessimistic about the possibility of survival. Duke focuses on missions. Another sequence becomes chaos as Cobra corners the corner at the military base in Stalker and his Jaws. Bullets fly, body fall, chaos breaks out.

All of this doesn’t work without Geordy Beller’s color art. She uses bold colors for the background: yellow for Jaws, bright blue for the Crimson Twins Stingers, red as the team of stalkers are cornered. To avoid losing, Rus Wooton slaps each page with the impossible effect of a mistake. The “savings” of sniper bullets are just as shocking and bloody as real life.

Gi Joe #4 shows no signs of slowing down as he deviates from the Cobra rank and places Jaws in an unstable position. Williamson and Riley continue to fire with every cylinder you can imagine. This means that the following question is something that readers cannot overlook. The only thing I was thinking about how this would end was, “How can they put this on top?”

‘Gi Joe’ #4 never gives up on action and surprises

Reilly’s artwork didn’t mess with that action for a minute, delivering car chases and gunfights that rivaled the big hits.

Williamson begins sowing the opposite of the Cobra rank, allowing Duke to make unexpected choices.

When Bellaire uses bold colors, the Acttion sequence becomes pop

The story continues with Zig, which fans are hoping for Zag, which adds to the appeal.

I feel this issue a bit short, but I hope it will be blown away next month.
