A few years ago, Nickelodeon and Mattel announced a reboot of the popular Monster High franchise, including live-action and animation projects. This is followed by a publishing program that includes comics published by IDW. Among the highlights of IDW’s Monster High Publishing efforts from 2024 was the issue of Monster High Pride, in which fans of the franchise celebrate some of their favorite LGBTQIA+ characters. Today, Beat is proud to exclusively reveal and solicit the cover of this year’s Monster High Pride One Shot, available in comics shops on May 28, 2025.
This one-shot, along with art from authors Jack Ae and Megan Brown, is a collection of LGBTQIA+ couples, especially Claudine Wolf and Tralee Stripe, Spardon Kardronello and Kieran Burrelte It is shining the spotlight on the sin.
Editor Riley Farmer teased what fans can expect with this new Monster High Pride Special:
“I’m so excited about the issue of pride this year! LGBTQIA+ characters are on the forefront of monster high comics throughout the year, but Pridemance is a great time to celebrate those characters. Toralei and Clawdeen (aka Toradeen) are Debuted as a couple in Pride 2024, fans have since begged to know how they got together. Jacque Aye and Siobhan Keenan are finally answering that question. Tip: It involves a lot of math Plus, Kieran Valentine and Superdon (aka Superentine) are back. Fans have lots of amazing moments, beautiful art and inspirational stories. I hope they’re ready. !”
In addition to the New Monster High Pride One-Shot, May also displays releases of Monster High: New Scaremaster and First Volume Collection. According to the publisher, fans can expect more news about IDW’s Monster High in 2025, so don’t take their eyes off it!

First of all, we all know and love the most intense and fashionable goofy friends: Claudine Wolf and Tralei Stripe, aka Toden. But how did they proceed from hiss to kiss? It’s really mathematics. clawculus + Common Enemies + Forced Melee = Perfect Love Story. Nothing screams romance like a math camp.
After that, Superdon Cardoronero and Kieran Valentine are the goals of a scary couple. But my argumentators say dating as an emotional vampire can make things a little more awkward. Valentine’s powers are completely out of control, and he worries that Speldon may have accidentally hypnotized him to fall in love with him. That’s the only logical explanation for why he feels all warm and vague… right?
