Valentine’s Day MWAH MWAH Kissy-Face Special #1 Review

February is home to Valentine’s Day, and given that there are entire films and TV shows dedicated to the holidays, it makes sense for the comic to take part in the action. PowerPuff Girls: Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy-Face Special #1 shows what happens when one of the PowerPuff Girls experiences their first crash. But it’s not the bubbles that fans might expect, and not even the buttercup. No, it’s a flower that’s a straight leader!

Powerpuff Girls: Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy-Face Special #1 starts in the town of Townsville around Valentine’s Day, as is the case with most PowerPuff Girls Stories. When PowerPuffs kindergarten classes win a new student, Blossom is absolutely engrossed with him and she begins to constantly fantasize about a new crash. The timing didn’t get worse as Mojo JoJo was about to attack Townsville.

This is not the first time that PowerPuff Girls has worked on a Valentine’s Day story, but this is the first time one of these stories has put PowerPuffs in the fore and center. Paulina and Savanna Ganuchi’s creative team have an absolute explosion in their setup. In particular, Savannah Ganuchi’s art has the whimsical lines and compositions you would expect from a homemade Valentine’s Day card, while maintaining the hyperkinetic action of the PowerPuff Girls episode. The cartoon was printed on paper with the scent of roses and added to the theme throughout Valentine’s Day.

Dynamite Entertainment

Ganucheaus is extremely creative with Blossom’s Daydreams. It’s similar to an old-fashioned romance novel. Turn the classic “Knight Saves the Princess” scenario upside down so Blossom becomes a knight. The other is a straight scream for Sailor Moon, given that Blossom’s Crush is similar to Tuxedo Mask. In addition to creating hilarious and often moving stories, Paulina Ganucho also covers Blossom’s fantasies with shades of red and pink. Savanna Gancheau’s letter also flips up according to the scene. In most of the comics they have the same scratch handmade style as her art, but in fantasy they are rich and gorgeous scripts.

Powerpuff Girls: Valentine’s Mwah Mwah Kissy-Face Special #1 is not exactly timing. It’s a cheerful and heartwarming one-shot. PowerPuff Girls fans will definitely like it, as well as the hopeless romantics of the comic reading world.

It has a homemade Valentine’s Day look and feel.

Red and pink are the dominant colors – the flowers are the focus, and it’s a fitting as it’s Valentine’s Day.

The Ganucheaus is a well-oiled machine that brings the vibe of the PowerPuff Girls Show to a Valentine-themed story.

It’s cheerful, but also heartwarming in the spot.
