It is rumored that the dark hose is downsizing

Yesterday, Konner Knudsen, an associate editor of Dark Horse, announced that it was fired from Dark Horse Comic on social media.

Today, I was fired from Dark Horse Comic. While it was a catastrophic news, I was very proud of what I helped, and I am grateful that I worked with such a wonderful colleague and creators. I haven’t stopped the manga yet, so if you need a familiar editor, please reach out.

-Konner Knudsen (@Penzerker.bsky.social) 2025-02-04T02: 35: 56.257Z

Knudson was a six -year veteran of Dark Horse and worked on titles such as BLACK HAMMER.

Beat is the first thing that Knusen publicly announced Rayoff, and that the dark hose has an important downsizing in the layoffs beyond dawn. We do not know how many departments have been reduced, but it is thought that some other editors have been fired.

The miniaturization on the dark hose is not surprising for those who follow the property of the parent company, Embracer Group. Swedish game Konglomarit (former THQ NORDIC) purchased DARK HORSE in early 2022. This includes Rods of the Rings Estate and Square Enix MONTREAL, which literally contains dozens of game companies.

In the latter half of 2022, the expansion and expansion stopped suddenly. The company has announced that Saudi Arabia’s familiar groups have collapsed $ 2 billion. In mid -2023, Embracer announced a reorganization including downsizing video game games Holdings. However, their financial issues show that Dark Horse’s parents declined in ASMODEE, a report of 2024 of ICV2.

Through all video games reefs, the dark horses remained surprisingly stable. Probably, comic publishing is a lower volatile industry than a video game, and its line was insulated from part of its volatility. Despite the confusion in other places, Micrichardson, the CEO and founder of the Dark Horse, pointed out that the Dark Horse’s property was positive, and that this division was “self -funded.”

But recently, there have been some signs that confusion has caught up with the dark hose. I’ve heard that some high -level staff are being fired. Earlier this month, TFAW (from another world) was established by Richardson, a collection of online, bricks and mortar owned by Dark Horse, and ended the program as of April 14. I told the affiliated company. “As we continued to evaluate TFAW’s evolving needs, we decided to end the program to focus on new opportunities.” This may have been a response to Diamond’s bankruptcy. Everyone focuses on the diamond distribution comics, but they are also huge toys.

It is said that Dark Horse’s current layoffs are partly due to the ongoing “COMICS PUBLISHING crisis”.
