The dystopia horror is a new series of Kill Train, a new series of Mad Cave Studios by writer Olivia Quartero Briggs. The premise is strict. The government has established a terrible scale near New York City, which is suffering from excessive population. This is an unreasonable program called Kill Train, which is blamed for unfortunate subway passengers to die by the end of the line. At the center of this nightmare is Vanessa, a single mother who is struggling. But Vanessa is given up. Once in her life, she is ready to fight.

A recent interview with AIPT revealed how this terrible concept was born from an uneasy dream.

“I woke up in an apartment where I grew up and noticed that I was watching one news of New York,” she remembered. “Anchor talked about the quilt train program, but I already knew it well, but I just decided to get on the train that morning. Inevitably, during my ride, the train is the train. I started skipping the stop … I remember seeing other passengers, as we noticed, the station platform is one after another. Sho.”

She woke up before her dream reached the terrible climax, but her idea clung to her.

“I knew it was a kind of terrible fear, and I knew that it had a woman’s lead in the steering that would fight for her survival. However, at that moment I was in a deeply personal story.

The emotional anchor of Kiltrain is on a trip to Vanessa. This reflects the struggle between the struggle of Quarter Brigs and the self -value and survival facing the relentless task. “When I had an overview of the quilt train, I found myself in the dark era of my life,” she explained. “In addition to my long -standing attack on my self -esteem, some of the events that have not been completely dealt with, I was probably angry like hell except for my child. Writing this story has become one of the most catalysis and healing experiences I’ve ever experienced.

The ability to fuse Quartero Brigs’s fears and the emotional depth of life is already turning, but she is a collaborator, Martina Dangero (Colorlist), and I praise Becka Carry (letter). life. “I can’t deny Martina’s talent. The emotions and excitement she brought to these panels work as well as this book. Acquisition of Simone’s light and shadow is increasing fear, and Becka’s ingenuity is you. You can listen to kill trains in all panels.

This story is also working on greater social themes, such as lattice gaps, political publicity, and cold bureaucratic cold efficiency. “Vanessa is a person who thinks that a kind of person’s size is overlooked and disposable, but no one of us should be sacrificed for its so -called greater profits. Not.

Through the interview, Quartero Brigs has demonstrated the ability to easily change the humor and horror. When asked what the Kilt Rain’s Theme Perkride looked, she proposed a immersive Halloween maze. Then she imagines a sadistic twist. Only 25 % of the kill trains are riding. The safety sign is “for anyone! Until not …” and just scooping the shoulder. “

The balance between the fear of the internal organs, the deep personal interests, and the deep personal interests will definitely resonate with both fiction and emotional dramas. When CUARTERO BRIGGS summarizes, “I hope the reader will take away. You are stronger than you think, and it’s okay if your life defeats you. Above all, it’s okay. You are not alone.

For OLIVIA CUARTERO BRIGGS, Kill Train may have begun as a dream, but her creative team and Vanessa’s journey have been brought to a vivid life, so I can’t forget the nightmare readers now.
