DC describes Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes and
As seen on DC’s Absolute Power page, ahead of April’s release of Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over, Fire and Ice finally achieved what Fire always wanted. The dynamic duo rose to glory as they joined the ranks of the Justice League. And even more so in the midst of a major global crisis. However, when the crisis is overcome, the smoke clears, and all psychic powers are restored, Ice finds himself spouting uncontrollable fire, and Fire has ice crystals forming on his fingertips. . Oops!
With powers swapped and no resolution in sight, Fire and Ice retreat and reconvene in Smallville, where they discover that their predicament has turned them into something even worse than the heroes they once were: love. They now realize that they are becoming a threat to the local community. But no matter how shortsighted, Fire always has a plan. And in the middle of a karaoke night, when she rummages through Zatanna’s bag of tricks for an easy solution…what could go wrong? Everything else. Also.
In a statement announcing the new series and return to DC, Starr explained his return to the character:
“Fire and Ice’s last series, Welcome to Smallville, focused on women figuring out how friendships work when they’re not saving the world,” Starrer said. spoke. “And of course there was a lot of conflict that came with that. In this new series, we wanted to show how much Bee and Tora understand each other and how strong they are when they work together.”

The writer also praised artist Stephen Byrne:
“The girls accidentally swap bodies to correct a power mix-up that occurred during Absolute Power,” Starr continued. “If it weren’t for Stephen Byrne’s amazing art, this Freaky Friday situation might be confusing. He has created some incredibly fun and unique new character designs, and he’s created a new character design that’s perfect for Ice in Fire’s body. It’s very clear when it’s inside and vice versa. The confusion of body swapping will be a lot of fun for the reader, but not for Bee and Tora.
