Chris Claremont, widely regarded as one of the greatest comics writers of all time, whose groundbreaking work on the X-Men changed the course of comics forever, joins artist Damien Cuceiro in creating Wolverine and Kitty Pryde has returned to Marvel for a new story. The five-issue limited series will be a sequel to Al Milgrom and Claremont’s Kitty Pryde and Wolverine, and will also feature several variant covers by X-Men legend Alan Davis.
“It’s really great to be back on this arc, especially since it’s presented by an amazing artist, Damien Cuseiro!” said Claremont. “This is the story of what happens between the end of the original Kitty Pryde and Wolverine miniseries and the time Logan and Pryde return home to rejoin the X-Men. “Obviously, the Kitty Pryde and Wolverine miniseries is highly iconic, taking Kitty from ‘junior’ X-Man to the full-fledged hero we see when we return to New York,” Editor Mark Basso added. “But there was a clear gap between the end of this Ogun situation and Wolverine and Kitty’s arrival in New York in Uncanny We were excited about what was happening. Why was Kitty’s mind so different when she came back? So where did her father go? I understand.”
