New Color: Pre-orders are now open for four new PlayStation 5 accessories in Midnight Black. It’s better than other types of black because it keeps you awake past your bedtime. The collection includes the DualSense Edge wireless controller, Portal remote player, Pulse Explore wireless earbuds (priced at $200 each), and the Pulse Elite wireless headset (sold for $150). All four are scheduled to ship on February 20th.
Sony announced the collection earlier this month, and the new accessories join the already available Midnight Black standard DualSense Controller ($75) and PS5 Console Cover ($55). Similar to the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection, Midnight Black accessories allow you to add a bit of personal flair to your gaming setup, but they’re far more sophisticated and dark-sounding. If PlayStation’s past releases are any indication, these new accessories will likely sell out before everyone can get their hands on them. Pre-order the DualSense Edge wireless controller for $200. Compared to the standard DualSense controller, the Edge model offers several more features and customization options. The button below the stick changes the button assignment, and the switch adjusts the length of the trigger pull. Pre-order the Portal Remote Player for $200. Portal remote player received lukewarm reviews from us in 2023, but ratings started to improve once Sony launched cloud gaming. The Gateway has an 8-inch LCD screen (1080p at 60fps), haptic feedback, and connects to your PS5 via Wi-Fi.
Pre-order the Pulse Explore wireless earbuds for $200. The earbuds connect via both Bluetooth and Sony’s proprietary PlayStation Link technology, promising ultra-low-latency connectivity to PS5, PC, Mac, and Portal remote players.
