Alison Pond has been promoted to vice president of marketing. Since joining Mad Cave Studios in 2020, Alison has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. In her new role, she will continue to lead the marketing team and oversee global marketing strategy, brand development and exciting new initiatives as the company continues to expand.
Maya Lopez has been promoted to Senior Marketing Manager. Her careful planning, organization, and foresight help us execute dynamic campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. Maya has earned this well-deserved recognition due to her ability to foster meaningful connections with her readers and her wise decision-making.
And the new crew includes:
Kathleen Bowen joins as Director of Loyalty and Finance, bringing a wealth of experience to the role ensuring smooth financial operations as Mad Cave Studios continues to expand.
Siurave Topete joins as Director of Finance, bringing a detail-oriented approach and extensive expertise to support the company’s financial health.
Marketing and Communications Manager Devon Ashby joins the company with an extensive background in publishing. Devon will focus on expanding Mad Cave Studios’ voice within the industry and strengthening its connection with fans.

Founded in 2014, Mad Cave Studios is one of the fastest growing comic book publishers in recent years, including the acquisition of Papercutz in 2022. Mark Irwin joined the company in 2021 and currently holds the position of President. Mike Martz joined the company as editor-in-chief that same year. Recent successes include licensed titles “Flash Gordon,” “Gatchaman” and “Speed Racer.” A manga line was also announced.
