LG will carry over much of its 2024 soundbar lineup into 2025, but the company has one all-new model set to debut this year. At CES, we got a preview of the S20A, a compact speaker that enhances your TV’s audio without taking up much space. The 2.0 channel unit provides 50 watts of power and works best with LG TVs.
When paired with one of the company’s TVs, you can expect a Wow interface that lets you adjust the sound through the TV UI. There’s also AI Sound Pro technology that adjusts audio based on each scene. LG offers a 3-band EQ on the S20A, so you can fine-tune the treble, mids, and bass to your liking.

During a quick demo of the S20A, I was impressed by the punchy highs and clarity I got from the small unit. LG says it doesn’t come with a subwoofer, as it uses the soundbar’s drivers for low-end tones. Of course, this setup won’t give you the punchy bass of a standalone wireless subwoofer, but the company doesn’t see that as a problem. We look forward to testing that theory when the S20A becomes available for review later this year.
LG is only showing off this new soundbar at CES, so no word on pricing or availability yet. That information and more detailed specifications should be announced closer to launch.
