First PlayStation Plus games of 2025 include The Stanley Parable and Suicide Squad

Sony has announced the first set of PlayStation Plus games for 2025, which will be available to all subscribers, regardless of which service tier they subscribe to. This month brings Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. I can’t say this is the most exciting set of games, but at least The Stanley Parable is a classic, albeit old. The game was first released as a mod for Half-Life 2 in 2011. The official full version was then released in 2013, followed by the Ultra Deluxe version for modern consoles in 2022.

Original creators Davey Wreden and William Pugh put together an Ultra Deluxe Edition with an expanded script and a number of other new changers that the developers didn’t exactly announce. We’ve been here before, right? ” Broadly speaking, however, the game expands on the original, with more choices, dialogue, and choices for the player to navigate. If you haven’t tried the game yet, there’s no reason not to check it out.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is also an older title, originally released in 2010 but updated for PS4 in 2020. That’s the version available here, featuring a full career mode as a racer or cop depending on which side of the law you feel like. It’s on. This version also includes multiplayer mode and all DLC released for the original game.

Finally, Batch’s latest game is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Although it is a live service game, it experienced multiple delays, received mostly negative reviews, and reportedly cost Warner Bros. approximately $200 million. Adding insult to injury, the developer has announced that this season of content will be the last, but there are no plans to end the game yet. Considering it was only released in February of this year, it has a fairly short lifespan. I’m not sure if I want to jump on the sinking ship at this point, but at least I can give it a try without paying $70.

All of these games will be available to PS Plus subscribers starting January 7th, so you’ll need to add the December games to your library by then.
