Nissan and Honda plan to merge

Honda and Nissan have officially confirmed rumors that they are proceeding with a merger. Both companies will continue to operate under their own brands, but a new joint holding company will be established as the parent company. If Nissan’s Mitsubishi Motors joins, the combined group will become the world’s third-largest automaker by sales, with net assets of up to $50 billion.

Nissan and Honda previously announced plans to collaborate on EV development, but the joint venture will be more integrated. This may include standardizing vehicle platforms, consolidating research and development teams, and optimizing manufacturing systems and equipment, according to a press release. This can help reduce costs.

In the United States, Nissan sells large pickup trucks and SUVs that Honda does not offer, and it also has extensive experience with EVs and plug-in electric vehicles. On the other hand, while Honda’s financial situation is relatively stable, Nissan is struggling, especially in Japan.

Like previous ports, Starship has all sorts of modern bells and whistles that set it apart from the 1997 original. Frame rates are improved and the port includes frame smoothing technology for better visuals. There’s another big advantage. It’s possible to mod.
