Noble Audio has announced the pending launch of its most advanced earphones to date. The FoKus Rex5 earbuds pack a lot of technology into a small package, and they have a $450 price tag to prove it.
First, Noble has included five drivers in each earbud. This is likely the first time this has been done, as the idea of cramming multiple drivers into a small earphone is a relatively new concept. Noble’s own FoKus Prestige earphones contain three drivers, but certainly not five.

The FoKus Rex5 earphones include a dynamic driver, a planar driver, and three balanced armature drivers that extend the frequency range. According to the company, this particular combination produces an “impressive soundstage that effortlessly delivers rich, full bass, detailed mids, and crystal-clear highs across an extended frequency range of 20Hz to 40kHz.” It is said that it will be done.
For the uninitiated, planar drivers provide a more accurate signal in the treble and midrange. Dynamic drivers have the power to move large amounts of air, resulting in improved bass response. The company’s recently released FoKus Apollo headphones also combine these two types of drivers.
These earphones integrate with their own app and Audiodo’s personalization software. This allows users to create custom EQ settings based on their own hearing and actually upload them to the earbuds. Of course, the Rex5 buds offer active noise cancellation and multiple transparency modes.

When it comes to connectivity, the Rex5 earbuds use Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint. It also comes equipped with both aptX Adaptive and LDAC high-resolution codecs, as well as AAC and SBC. The company says you can expect 5 hours of use on a single charge with ANC on and 7 hours with ANC off. The earbuds come with a charging case with fast charging capability for an additional 40 hours of use. The case is also green to match the buds.
Noble Audio’s FoKus Rex5 earbuds are available for pre-order now, with shipping starting November 29th. As mentioned, they cost $450, which is $200 more than Apple’s top-of-the-line AirPods Pro 2.
