Hackers break into Andrew Tate’s online ‘university’ and obtain data on 800,000 users

Hackers broke into an online course founded by a far-right influencer and accused human trafficker Andrew Tate, the Daily Dot reports. The hackers collected data on more than 800,000 users and revealed the email addresses of about 325,000 of them.

Tate’s self-described “online university” offers courses in fitness, finance, and content creation for as low as $50 a month. The site now claims to have more than 113,000 active users, which translates into an estimated $5 million injected into Tate’s bank account each month. A source familiar with the breach told the Daily Dot that the hack wasn’t difficult, as Tate’s website was “laughably insecure.”

The anonymous hackers cited “hacktivism” as a motive, suggesting that there was a problem with certain harmful statements by Tate and his alleged propensity to sex traffick underage girls. are. To do so, they hacked into the website in the middle of a Tate-led livestream and gained access to the main chat room.

Hackers destroyed the secure space of Tate’s chat room and uploaded emojis that were sure to upset the hypermasculine influencer and her fans, including a transgender flag and a feminist fist. He also posted an image of Tate wearing an AI-generated rainbow flag. They seized admin controls and temporarily banned some users. The hackers also downloaded public and private chats that took place on the platform.

Daily Dot examined some of the obtained chat logs. They were filled with conversations about the “LGBTQ agenda” and, of course, “The Matrix.” The publication shared the leaked email address with HaveIBeenPwned, a site that alerts users when they are pwned. Incidentally, this is not the first time Tate’s site has been hacked this year. Back in July, over 1 million users and 22 million messages were exposed.

Tate is currently the subject of five legal investigations in Romania and the United Kingdom. The suspect is suspected of sexually trafficking and raping minors, as well as forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women. He denies all charges.
