As our homes (and lives) get smarter, the need for some sort of digital hub big enough to run things becomes more urgent. That’s why Amazon surprise-released a new 21-inch version of the Echo Show that has all the features of the Show 15 but is larger. It has a built-in smart home hub with Thread, Zigbee, and Matter controls, Wi-Fi 6E, and a great camera for video calling.
I bought an Echo Show 8 on a whim to use as a screen for my Ring doorbell, and it was very disappointing. But in theory, the idea of having a 21-inch screen on which you can lay out your daily to-do list and calendar tasks is very appealing. I have two small children, so being able to manage all my schedules on one device is very desirable.
