Marvel Comics has been revealing more details about One World Under Doom and its companion works, and today we got new information about Thunderbolts: Doomstrike. The five-issue series, written by Jackson Lansing and Colin Kelly and illustrated by Tommaso Bianchi, will be released on February 19th.

“We can’t wait for everyone to see what Ryan and friends have planned for One World Under Doom. It’s a Marvel event with brains, heart, and incredible scope.” said Kelly and Lansing. “Thunderbolts is a key piece of the puzzle. It’s about what happens when the heroes openly oppose Doom, and how they must learn to fight differently if they are to make a difference.” This is a story about what must happen. Featuring returning characters and stories that have been building since Captain America, as well as new returning Thunderbolts from all eras, Thunderbolts: Doomstrike brings Marvel’s messiest, meanest superteam to life once and for all. It’s a story about fighting forces in a new way, even if it costs you everything.

So what is Thunderbolts: Doomstrike?

Revolution…like lightning! Doom has conquered the world. And Bucky Barnes helped me with that. To atone for his unwitting role in Doom’s victory, Bucky assembles a team with one goal: to burn everything down. But when Bucky’s saboteurs, including Black Widow, Songbird, USA Agent, Sharon Carter, and a few surprise wildcards, begin an unrestrained campaign to tear apart Doom’s empire, Doom realizes that the revolution is about to end. Determined to prove that it will end in blood…

New York, NY — November 14, 2024 — ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM begins in February, an all-encompassing status quo with Doctor Doom reigning supreme. In addition to the core title spotlighting the iconic supervillain’s rise to glory, Rules of Doom will impact the entire Marvel Universe throughout 2025, particularly in tie-in issues and series. Today, fans can learn about the exciting new ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM tie-in series, THUNDERBOLTS: DOOMSTRIKE. In this series, Doom assembles a new and classic iteration of one of Marvel’s most iconic Marvel super teams this February.

THUNDERBOLTS: DOOMSTRIKE will be a five-issue limited series written by Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing (NYX) and illustrated by rising star artist Tommaso Bianchi (Giant-Size Silver Surfer). Recently, Bucky Barnes boldly assembled a team of black ops sluggers to track down the world’s most dangerous man, only to unintentionally help Doom seize power. Now his guilt will drive him to challenge Doom’s authority head on and become a living symbol of resistance!

And just as fans have been waiting for, the beloved original team is back! And they’re not happy with what Bucky is doing in their name… Get ready for THUNDERBOLTS VS. Please. THUNDERBOLTS as Doom recruits original members including Moonstone, Atlas, Fixer, and more. Celebrating the title’s incredible legacy while ushering in an exciting new era, THUNDERBOLTS: DOOMSTRIKE is the long-awaited take on the Thunderbolts in Marvel Studios’ THUNDERBOLTS*, which hits theaters May 2nd. It arrives just in time for its MCU debut.
