LOS ANGELES, November 14, 2024 — Today, Skybound and Image Comics, in collaboration with leading toy and game company Hasbro, unveiled a stacked lineup of GI JOE #2 interior pages and variant covers. From writer Joshua Williamson (Duke, Cobra Commander), artist Tom Riley (Duke) and colorist Jordy Bellaire (Duke, W0rldtr33), the chart-topping and critically acclaimed Promising to be bold, the new comic book GI Joe and Cobra’s new vision for the Energon Universe from the creative team behind the scenes is scheduled to hit comic book shelves on December 18, 2024.

Skybound and Hasbro recently announced a series of promotional initiatives in support of GI JOE #1. This includes Skybound Insiders’ “Choose Your Side” initiative, which offers readers the chance to see themselves in the pages of GI JOE in a series of house ads. Also recently announced is an event in Los Angeles on November 13th that will feature a Joshua Williamson autograph session at Things From Another World at Universal CityWalk Hollywood and exclusive Includes combination with Skybound. Insider screening and Q&A of GI JOE: The Movie (1987). Williamson will be holding additional autograph sessions at Collector’s Paradise in Los Angeles and Third Eye Comics in Annapolis on November 14th and 16th, respectively. GI JOE fans will want to make sure they’re locked in as an insider so they don’t miss any upcoming events or activations.
This new series will become another pillar of the Energon Universe and represent the culmination of Hasbro and Skybound’s historic collaboration. Skybound ushered in a new era in the Transformers and GI Joe franchises into one shared comic universe.
