Amazon is slashing prices on many of its products, including streaming devices, for Black Friday. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is currently marked down from $60 to $33, a 45% discount and a new all-time low. This device is Amazon’s most powerful streaming stick, supporting a 4K Ultra HD display, and features an enhanced Alexa voice remote and Wi-Fi 6E support. Of course, you can also use it to access Amazon Prime Video, as well as Netflix, Disney+, and all your favorite streamers.
The Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is a good option for streaming, but we also use it for a slightly different purpose: playing retro games. Our senior reporter Jeff Dunn bought this to play games on the PS1, Game Boy, Genesis, old arcade games, and more. He feels it works much more efficiently than carrying around a large device. However, playing older games using Fire TV Stick 4K Max requires a little setup. So if you want to give it a try, here’s Dunn’s helpful guide.

Amazon’s Fire TV Cube is also discounted as part of its big Black Friday sale on Fire TV devices. Right now, you can get 29% off on the streaming device, dropping it from $140 to $100. If you want to access Ethernet and use Alexa hands-free, Cube is the way to go. It’s more powerful than 4K Max, but the price difference makes it difficult to decide whether it’s worth it.
