Courtesy of Battle Quest, AIPT can share the cover art and interior preview page for The 27 Run, the beginning of the trilogy. The first part of it will be completely “remastered” and reworked and reprinted into a monthly series of previously released books. Published in hardcover (and out of print) by A Wave Blue World. Written by Battle Quest editor Justin Zimmerman.

“We can’t wait to add ‘The 27 Run’ to our lineup,” says BQC Publisher Drew Kafoury. “It’s packed with a variety of amazing art and a captivating, action-packed story.”

So what is “27 runs”?

Originally published in hardcover, The 27 Run is an epic work that combines mechs, monsters, and post-apocalyptic action with a sense of humor and features life-size artwork by Russ Brown. Now, as originally intended, the series has been transformed into a softcover graphic novel of monthly issues, with covers featuring some of the industry’s top talent.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Battle Quest Comics Media Director and Comics Writer Justin Zimmerman brings to the publisher an all-new comic book version of his famous series “The 27 Run” in a remastered and reimagined format.

“We can’t wait for The 27 Run: Crash to hit stands for the first time,” says writer/creator Justin Zimmerman. “Each issue is jam-packed with stories and supplements that make every page shine. What’s even more exciting is that this is just the beginning of the 27 Run trilogy, with two more series to follow. The world has no idea what’s going to happen, but the fun is just beginning!”

A special preview of ‘The 27 Run: Crash’ backed by a New York CC exclusive flipbook edition of Battle Quest’s recently announced ‘The Young No’madds’ with a special cover by Jorge Corona and Morgan Beam will be done. The series will be in stores next February with additional covers by Sean Hill, Robbie Rodriguez, Stewart Moore, Leo Colapietro and Laura Martin.

Praise for “The 27 Run”:

“Justin Zimmerman’s The 27 Run: Crash combines all of my childhood loves, including Robotech, Mad Max, and Godzilla, mixed with incredible heart and humor. Brown’s art, Gamboa’s colors, and Mauer’s lettering bring the world of T27R to life. Zimmerman has written the perfect post-apocalyptic action comedy!” – NerdAlert.world

“The 27 Run: Crash is exciting and thrilling!” – ScreenRant.com

“‘The 27 Run: Crash’ is a wilderness tale filled with dark humor, fantastical creatures, big-scale action, and sarcastic wit.” – Steve Orlando (Scarlet Witch, Batman)
