Stranger Things VR started out as a Metaquest exclusive, but it’s officially coming to Sony’s PS VR2. The game will be released on December 5th with a suggested price of $25. However, PS Plus members will get 20% off.
The announcement was made as part of a fake holiday called “Stranger Things Day.” In addition to cross-platform support for Stranger Things VR, Netflix has officially set a 2025 release date for season 5 of the show. This season will be the final season. The platform has released another trailer with the names of all the episodes, so that’s something to look forward to.
As for Stranger Things VR, players take control of Season 4’s villain Vecna as she wreaks havoc on the poor citizens of Hawkins. Reviews were pretty middling, but this is a VR game set in the world of the super-popular show. Move some units on PS VR2. Even if you don’t like the gameplay, you’ll still enjoy spending time in VR listening to that intense synth soundtrack.
To further commemorate Stranger Things Day, the creative team also released behind-the-scenes snapshots documenting the filming of the final season. They all seem to be having a grand time.
