The mobile version of Stardew Valley has received the latest update. Among them is a new secret multiplayer mode. Developer ConcernedApe says it’s a secret for now due to its experimental nature, and that mobile multiplayer can be “frustrating.”
Unlike Stardew Valley multiplayer on other platforms, players on mobile cannot discover other players’ farms and can only connect via IP address. You can also use your mobile device to join a farm hosted on your PC. The developers also warn that the use of mobile networks is not recommended as they may not be stable enough. This experience works best when both devices are on the same network, but this is not required.

To unlock mobile multiplayer, you must tap the leaves in a specific order. This is actually part of Konami’s code, since smartphones and tablets don’t have A and B buttons. If you’re interested, the Stardew Valley Multiplayer Blog has instructions.
Once you see a new co-op menu on your screen, you can host or join a farm. If you want to join someone’s farm, you’ll need an IP address, and it’s not difficult to find one on a mobile device. The Stardew Valley post also includes instructions for both iOS and Android users.
