If you missed the short pre-order window for Sony’s 30th Anniversary PS5 console, your chance is coming soon. The retro-themed hardware quickly sold out during its initial September 26 pre-order period, leaving fans exasperated by Sony’s predictably frustrating ordering process. A warning on Sony’s product page (via Kotaku) states that the second go-round will take place on Tuesday, October 29th at noon ET.
The limited edition console and accessories come with nostalgic skins reminiscent of the original PlayStation, released in Japan in 1994. This includes a sleek gray color scheme that really shows off the classic PlayStation logo.

This message (“Please check back on October 29th at 9am PDT”) only appears on the 30th Anniversary product page for the $500 PS5 Slim Bundle and $80 DualSense Controller. Unfortunately, no such message appears in the throwback PS5 Pro bundle or on the PlayStation Portal’s product page.
Assuming only the slim bundle is available, this will be your second (and likely last) chance to get the cheaper of the two consoles. This included a digital (no disc drive!) PS5 Slim, a standard DualSense controller (also themed to the event), a retro cable connector housing, a PlayStation-shaped cable tie, and a vertical stand. Masu. Oh, and there are also some extras like stickers, posters, and PlayStation paperclips, which I can only imagine will sell for triple-digit prices on eBay after the bundle arrives on November 21st.
