Apple is planning an “announcement week” starting next Monday, October 28th, which will almost certainly include the announcement of new Macs. “Mack your calendar!” said Greg Jozwiak, the company’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. I let the cat out of the bag with X’s post.

A year after Apple announced its first M3-powered laptop, it was widely expected to introduce desktop Macs and MacBooks powered by the M4 chipset next week. The M4 debuted in the iPad Pro earlier this year, but Apple has yet to update Macs with that chipset. Apple has long been rumored to release an M4-powered iMac, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, and a redesigned Mac mini by early 2025, but now they’re being released ahead of the peak holiday shopping season. It seems like it is.
New hardware isn’t the only thing Apple has in its lineup next week. On Monday, the company plans to release a software update for iPhones, iPads and Macs that will give the public a first taste of Apple Intelligence features. Meanwhile, Apple just released its latest iPad Mini.
