Courtesy of Dark Horse Comics, we can exclusively reveal that the publisher and CD Projekt Red are teaming up once again for a new Cyberpunk 2077 series, Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad. Writer Dan Watters (Universal Monsters: The Creature of the Black Lagoon Alive!), artist Kieran McCune (Dragon Age: The Missing) and colorist Giada Marchisio (Profane ”), created by letterer Frank Cvetkovich (Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown), the four are, in the comic book part, driven to violence by cybernetic augmentations (cyberpsychos, to use video game terminology). Introducing Night City’s elite police force, Max Stack, who specializes in dealing with people.

Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad Max Stack takes on one of Night City’s most dangerous and controversial squads, the cyberpsychos who have become netrunners. The squad’s mission is to eliminate targets and save lives without incident. However, with the building on lockdown, Psycho wires the facility and its occupants to be destroyed.

Despite having a relatively small role in the game, MaxTac has proven to be one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most iconic factions, appearing in the project’s first trailer in 2013 and featuring a female It depicted a squad dealing with cyber psychos. (This particular psycho was later revealed to be named Melissa Rory, who was scouted by the group after being rehabilitated in an in-game side mission.) The series is Watters’ first introduction to the cyberpunk world. This is his first book. Also a dark horse.

Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad #1 will be released on February 12th, with main cover by McCune and Marchisio, and variants by Miguel Valderrama (Cyberpunk 2077: Trauma Team), Alex Eckman Rohn (Lotus Land), and Niko Henrichon (Fable) is in charge. ).
