Indie platformer Neva, from the same developers who created the popular Gris, is getting a physical version. It will be released on March 14, 2025 for both Nintendo Switch and PS5. Both standard and deluxe versions are currently available for pre-order.
The regular version comes with the game and box. However, the deluxe edition also comes with a collector’s box, the original soundtrack on CD, and an 88-page artbook. Neva has a really great art design, so their art book will probably be something special.
For the uninitiated, Neva is an indie platformer that was released last week to near universal acclaim. We called it a “perfect” and “flawless game” in our official review. That’s a high praise, but it’s not surprising. The graphics and art design are top-notch, and the story is a masterclass in environmental storytelling. The platform is also very good, with “light and responsive” controls.
As for the story, the less said, the better. This is the story of a woman and a wolf who rely on each other to travel through a dangerous world. Yes, you can pet the wolf. There is actually some credit for that. Neva was developed by Nomada Studio and published by Devolver Digital. It is also available on PC, macOS, and Xbox Series X/S, but there are no physical versions for these platforms.
