During a panel discussion Friday at New York City Comic Con, DC announced a long-running Justice League spinoff. Debuting in January, Justice League: The Atom Project features three iconic characters: Ray Palmer (Atom), Ryan Choi (Atom), and Nathaniel Adam (Captain Atom). The trio teams up to help the DCU’s superheroes regain their rightful powers in the wake of the Absolute Power that ruined everything.

The Atom Project was co-written by John Ridley and Ryan Parrott, with interior and main cover art by Mike Perkins. This is the latest title in DC’s All In initiative, which consists of a continuing line of core titles that serve as jumping points for new and old readers alike.

The call for question #1 is as follows:

Under the influence of Absolute Power, Earth’s superpowers are thrown into chaos…and it’s up to the newly reformed Justice League to restore order to the chaos. Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi appear as a hero called the Atom. These brilliant minds go to work creating the world’s first superpower reassignment and backup system, code-named Project Atom. But not everyone wants their powers back, and Captain Atom is hell-bent on ensuring his lost atomic abilities are never discovered again. With Oscar-winning writer John Ridley, Rogue Son co-creator Ryan Parrott, and Batman: First Knight artist Mike Perkins, a powerful atomic bomb that changes the DCU like an atomic bomb. Dive down the rabbit hole of fuel spy thrillers!

Justice League: The Atom Project #1 features variant covers by Dan Mora, Kevin Wada, Lucio Parrillo, and Steven Segovia.
