Horizon Experiment: Finders//Keepers is a reversal of Indiana Jones in which Puerto Rican archeology graduate student Inés Guarúa plans to steal important cultural artifacts from a famous museum and return them to their rightful place. It’s a story. Heart of the rainforest. If she fails, the curse could destroy Puerto Rico. This leads Guarua on a quest to smuggle other artifacts from museums and institutions back into their native culture. “I’ve always loved action-adventure stories, but most of the typical protagonists and traditional settings just didn’t work for someone like me,” Ayala said. “Working on The Horizon Experiment, I thought I had found a way to open up that world to anyone who wanted to be a hero. It was one of the most fun projects of my career, and I wanted to create a world like this. I’m really happy to be joining such a great team!”

“Of all the projects announced as part of The Horizon Experiment, Finders//Keepers is the most anticipated, which doesn’t surprise me,” Picheshot said. “Nothing made me want to get back into the world of comics editing more than the chance to work with Vita Ayala, so I hope they are interested in joining. Skylar Partridge is a superstar on the rise, and with each new high-profile project taking her in exciting directions, I knew their collaboration would be something special. . They delivered and then some.”

“‘Finders//Keepers’ is a dream project narratively, artistically and thematically, and the Horizon Experiment is a much-needed stage to tell these stories. ,” Patridge said. “It’s rare that projects come together so perfectly, and working with Vita, Pornsak, and Will to build and bring this world to life has been both satisfying and deeply inspiring. Add to that the amazing work of colorist Jason Wardy and letterer/designer Becca Carey, and it feels like we just won the creative lottery.”

Like other titles in The Horizon Experiment, this one-shot will serve as a pilot for a creator-owned series that could be continued if there is more demand. In addition to the cover featuring art by Patridge, the issue features variant covers by Eisner Award-winning artist Tula Lotay (SOMNA: A Bedtime Story, Barnstormers: A Ballad of Love and Murder).
