Dynamite Entertainment, on the rise with megahits like “Thundercats” and “Space Ghost,” today expanded its collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products with a new series, “Silverhawks.” Launching in January 2025, writer Ed Brisson and artist George Cambadice will headline the series.

“When Dynamite released Thundercats, I immediately started pestering Declan (Shalvey, Thundercats writer) about the possibility of a Silverhawks book,” said writer Ed Brisson. “When Nate contacted me about writing ThunderCats: Apex, my first question was, ‘When are we going to do SilverHawks?!?’ I am so excited to have this book published and to be a part of it. There is no better collaborator than George. So brace yourself, because I’m going to pour all the love I have for the Silver Hawks into this baby. I’ll do my best to make sure everyone likes it! ”

So what are Silver Hawks?

Readers will meet the white-haired space cop Stargazer and the team he has assembled to deal with the galactic threat unleashed by the monster Limbo and his escape from the star-crossed mob. The team’s leader is an experienced Eliot Ness-like figure who is extremely tough, but also a forward-thinking man who is trying to establish a blueprint to carry on his legacy should he fall in the fight to protect his team and serve justice. be. Joining him are the field leader and tactician Quicksilver, the ace pilot and free spirit Bluegrass, the strong and silent bruiser Steelwill, the caring and independent Steelheart, and the introspective illusionist. Hot Wings, and the unpredictable inventor Copper Kid. The team works together and coordinates their specialized skills to defeat the escaped prisoners from Limbo and all the chaos left in their wake.

Big name artists Lucio Parrillo, Jay Lee, James Stockoo, Declan Shalvey, Gerardo Borges and the latest breakout artist Manix join the fleet of glittering variant covers, including collectible foil and metal enhanced editions.

October 14, Mount Laurel, NJ: Another of the most beloved animations of the 1980s will make a triumphant return through comics in 2025. Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products have announced that the SilverHawks series will launch in January 2025. Ed Brisson and George Cambadice.

Almost a year after Dynamite announced that ThunderCats would be coming to comics, a sister series now joins the fun with an announcement coinciding with New York Comic Con. Led by writer Declan Shalvey and artist Drew Moss, ThunderCats has been around for less than a year, but it’s made a huge impact on the industry and its fans. Its kickoff earned acclaim as Dynamite’s best-selling game in history, and it maintains that momentum with character introductions, new story arcs, spin-offs, and more.

Dynamite officially incorporates a series of titles that started with ThunderCats, including the debut of SilverHawks, and incorporates it as an umbrella to encompass all spin-offs and potential future connections. SilverHawks originally came from the Rankin/Bass team as an extension of the ThunderCats idea with a cosmic setting and tone.

Acclaimed writer Ed Brisson (Batman Incorporated, Predator) takes on the series following his work across the aisle on Apex specials. Joining him will be the incredible George Cambadice, who was the driving force behind the chart-topping Gargoyles series.

“When Dynamite released Thundercats, I immediately started pestering Declan (Shalvey, Thundercats writer) about the possibility of a Silver Hawks book,” said writer Ed Brisson. “When Nate contacted me about writing ThunderCats: Apex, my first question was, ‘When are we going to do SilverHawks?!?’ I am so excited to have this book published and to be a part of it. Like our heroes, the superstar creative team of Brisson and Cambadice have a mission. Through an inventive procedural approach to their story, they set out to expand and explore the Silver Hawks’ backstory, locations, and events that had previously only been hinted at. Each issue reveals buildings, monsters’ larger stories, and clues to uncover the looming cosmic mob war.

Big name artists Lucio Parrillo, Jay Lee, James Stockoo, Declan Shalvey, Gerardo Borges and the latest breakout artist Manix join the fleet of glittering variant covers, including collectible foil and metal enhanced editions.

Following Brisson’s contributions to Apex, Sharvey teams up with the ThunderCats camp to paint his take on the Silver Hawks. I wonder if it’s possible to go back and forth not only with the creators, but also with the characters and storylines…? Fans should follow and see a wide collection of titles every month.

SILVERHAWKS #1 is being solicited in Diamond Comics Distributors’ November 2024 preview catalog, a leading source of merchandise for the comics specialty market, with an expected release date of January 2025. Comic fans are encouraged to pre-order a copy of the book along with their local comics. Book retailer.
