Game Freak, the developer of Pokemon, has admitted that its servers were hacked in August. The breach caused internal documents, ranging from source code to early character designs and even discarded character designs, to be circulated on social media over the weekend.

Leaked documents and images flooded Reddit and X after Centro Leaks began leaking all documents and images on Saturday afternoon. It is said to contain source code for past games, as well as code names for the Switch 2 and upcoming 10th generation Pokemon games. There are also references to the Pokemon MMO, future movies, and a new anime series. This leak revealed a ton of beta character designs and concept art.

We need 23,000 Redboxes!

Red Box is dead, but its rectangular corpse remains in shopping malls and stores across the country. These machines are heavy and unwieldy, and a former Redbox executive suggests it costs $500 to remove one kiosk. Note: Some machines are actually embedded in concrete. Some believers nevertheless decided to adopt them. Yet another note: These boxes use a lot of energy. Walgreens told the judge that it costs the company $184,000 a month to power its 5,400 kiosks, which equates to about $35 per month per kiosk. That was fine 10 years ago, when the company was generating $2 billion in annual revenue.
