In a surprising turn of recent events, Marvel Comics has announced that legendary author J. Michael Straczynski will return in 2025 to write a series of one-shot stories about unlikely team-ups. Starting with the highly unlikely pairing of Doctor Doom and Rocket Raccoon, each of these new issues by Studzinski will feature a unique story, starting on January 22nd.

“I like to go to fun places, and the idea of bringing together Marvel characters who have never been paired together before, or who have only minimally been paired together, seemed like a lot of fun. , I had even more fun than I expected,” Straczynski explained in a Marvel press release. “For the first time in China, we get to see the original Nick Fury and the Flying Tigers as they battle the newly awakened Finn Fang Foom… Join Rocket Raccoon and Doctor Doom as they travel to the edge of space and time. Let’s see… Ghost Rider go bang with none other than Galactus… Aunt May gets caught in the middle of a supernatural battle with Agatha Harkness… The more unlikely the pairing, the more outlandish the combo The more I enjoyed it, the more I enjoyed watching it come to life. I’ve been following the news for this series for over a year now, and I finally found out it’s going to be on newsstands starting in January. I’m very excited.”

The series is in the spirit of best-selling comics such as Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Green’s Doom and Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña’s Avengers: Twilight. These runs will be joined by an impressive line-up of artistic talent: Will Robson, Bernard Chan, Elena Casagrande, Germán Peralta, Juan Ferreira, and Phil Noto.

Complete list of titles and combinations:

Doctor Doom & Rocket Raccoon Captain America & Volstagg Nick Fury VS. Finn Fang Foom Hulk & Doctor Strange (plus a back-up story starring Aunt May and Agatha Harkness!) Ghost Rider VS. Galactus Spider-Man VS .Doctor Octopus

Prolific author J. Michael Straczynski has touched nearly every corner of the Marvel Universe with his masterful storytelling skills, including critically acclaimed works such as The Amazing Spider-Man, Thor, and Fantastic Four. I have decorated it. See where Straczynski’s imagination takes him next as he writes a new line of standalone one-shots with two Marvel icons of his choice, starting this January, including unexpected team-ups and action-packed showdowns. Let’s follow what’s going on.

In the spirit of recent best-selling comics such as Jonathan Hickman and Sanford Greene’s Doom and Chip Zdarsky and Daniel Acuña’s Avengers: Twilight, Straczynski’s new one-shots will appeal to both new and long-time readers. For readers alike, all fans of today’s most beloved and talked about Marvel characters. Joining Straczynski is a line-up of incredible artistic talent, including Will Robson, Bernard Chan, Elena Casagrande, Germán Peralta, Juan Ferreira, and Phil Noto.

Straczynski and Robson kick things off with “Doctor Doom & Rocket Raccoon.” Doom does the one thing he never wants to do. It’s about asking for a favor. What awaits the rocket in Latveria? Pranks, misunderstandings, and an emotional journey through time and space in the Mighty Marvel Way!Volstagg then recruits Straczynski and Chan’s Captain America & Volstagg to become Sentinels of Freedom. When war breaks out in the Nine Realms, Volstagg of the Warrior Three turns to the only skilled man who can end the war: Steve Rogers, Captain America.
