A while ago, we brought you an update on what happened to Frank Miller Presents, the publishing company that serves as a hub for Frank Miller’s work. Well, the publisher’s upcoming releases are now in partnership with Abrams Comic Arts, with RONIN RISING and PANDORA finally available in stores today. Details and previews are below.

About Ronin Rising

A cursed ronin. Psychological manipulation by sentient AI. The security commander became the savior. and an apocalyptic biotech war in the demon-infested pits of 21st century New York. This is the world of Frank Miller’s Ronin Rising. The film is the long-awaited sequel to legendary Hall of Fame cartoonist Eisner’s seminal cyberpunk comic classic. On October 8, 2024, Frank Miller Presents and Abrams ComicArts will publish Frank Miller’s Ronin Rising in two stunning editions. A hardcover collector’s edition and a paperback manga version from Kana, Abrams Comic Arts’ new manga publisher.

Well, Ronin Rising is the sequel to Miller’s 1983 cyberpunk masterpiece Ronin. This long-awaited release comes in a Collector’s Edition hardcover and a Kana-published manga version, with Miller himself providing the cover and interior art for two chapters.

And he’s not alone. RONIN RISING also features the work of artists Philip Tan and Daniel Enriquez, who used pencil and ink in Chapters 1, 2, 3, and 5. The entire book includes a mirrored layout, concept design by Tan, and six full-page wraparound variant covers. , and a foreword by another industry legend, Jim Lee of DC Comics.

Ronin has inspired generations of writers, artists and fans alike, and has been cited as the inspiration for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Samurai Jack. Now, Miller, Tan, and Enriquez have created a worthy sequel, passing the story on to a new generation.

About Pandora

Annabeth is a curious 15-year-old girl. Unpopular at school, unhappy and out of place at home, everything changes when she discovers a flower-shaped artifact with the power to warp reality. Determined to change her dissatisfying routine, Annabeth uses her newfound powers to change the world around her. And in doing so, she sows the seeds of impending chaos in her wake.

As for Pandora, this book is a dark modern fairy tale about a teenage girl searching for the perfect world. The highly anticipated second project from Frank Miller Presents and Abrams ComicArts, the book is illustrated by Emma Kubert (Inkblot), co-written by Anthony Maranville and Chris Silvestri (Star Trek: Discovery), and includes endpapers, concept art, and more.
