Amazon’s latest Prime Day sale event has officially begun, and sales are in full swing. Samsung’s The Frame TV has been reduced to a record low price. The 55-inch model is currently $978, a significant price reduction of over $650. If you’ve been paying attention to this for years, it might be time to take the plunge.
For the uninitiated, The Frame TV is one part television and one part artistic canvas. When you’re not using it to enjoy a show or movie, you can display your art prints. This is the perfect box for people who want to watch TV from time to time, but don’t want a huge device that takes up their entire living room. Most visitors won’t even know it’s a TV unless it’s pointed out to them.

We’ve long praised Samsung’s The Frame TV. Features frame edges and ultra-thin bezels to reduce optical illusions. The TV mounts flat against the wall, so you can place it anywhere. There’s no big, cumbersome power cable. The TV is connected via thin wires to an external receiver/port hub, and from there to a power outlet. This wire is small enough to easily hide behind plants, but you can also drop it behind drywall and pop it out somewhere else.
As for the TV specs, this is a 4K QLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate in TV mode. In Canvas mode, this refresh rate drops to 60Hz since there’s not as much to refresh. The matte display also reduces light reflections and improves screen visibility in both TV and Canvas modes.
There are two things to note here. This sale is only for the 55-inch model, so even large TVs will be expensive. Also, this deal only applies to versions with white bezels, so it may not perfectly suit every consumer’s aesthetic.
