The Fables of Erlking Woods is a new graphic novel from cartoonist Juni Ba. Written by Aditya Bidikar and published by Goats Flying Press. Coming soon to Kickstarter.

Last month, we had the pleasure of launching this book (along with the rest of The Goat’s very exciting 2025 calendar). And today, I’m excited to share all the chapters of my new fantasy graphic novel with you. That’s literally a whole chapter.

In case you missed the announcement, the description for The Fables of Erlking Woods reads: Goats Flying Press is produced by award-winning artist Juni Ba (Robin:Boy Wonder, Djeliya) We are proud to announce a new original graphic novel by and letterer Aditya Bidikar (Little Bird). is a blend of history, mythology, and folklore in the tradition of epic storytelling that follows the centuries-long life of one cursed demon, the vast forests he haunts, and the countless others who intertwine with him. It depicts the life and fate of Elking, the one who grants wishes and steals souls.

The 184-page book is currently in pre-launch on Kickstarter. This means that you can receive an email when the campaign launches by visiting this page and clicking “Notify me when I launch.” I’ve only looked at the first 75 pages of this book, and I definitely support this campaign. Barr is one of the most exciting new comics artists to emerge in recent years, breaking out with the powerhouse “Jeriyah” and then going on to create “Robin,” one of the best DC Comics Black Label prestige series in recent memory. : Boy Wonder” will be produced.

This new book is like a short story, a story that spans centuries. It has a sense of realism and dynamism, which is wonderful. Check out the 10-page preview below, featuring the Knight, the Elking, and the slow passage of time.
