New York, NY — October 1, 2024 — Marvel’s new Ultimate Universe is entering its second year. Readers can look forward to more of the unpredictable storytelling and bold character reinvention that defined this exciting new line of comics. With the Maker’s return imminent, the stakes are higher than ever, and the heroes of this once-doomed world face their greatest challenge yet as his council struggles to maintain control. I will do it. Today, fans can get a look ahead to what will be featured in January’s Ultimate issue.

The January issue cover and synopsis spotlight the debut of the Ultimate Guardians of the Galaxy. The climactic showdown between Black Panther and Moon Knight. Kraven’s Ultimate Hunt; and the X-Men rise as a new band of mutant superheroes.

The new Guardians from the distant future consist of Star-Lord, Captain Marvel, Ultimate Nullifier, and Cosmo. These galactic heroes have traveled through time and space to find their missing teammates. The secrets they know about the universe’s hidden past could prove important to the Ultimates’ mission to defeat the Maker.

“The creative goals we set for ourselves at ULTIMATES, in addition to telling a complete story in each issue, were to create (or re-create) characters interesting enough to sustain the reader’s imagination and create their own series if desired. ” said ULTIMATES writer Deniz Camp. He explained. “Whether we succeeded in either respect is up to our readers to decide, but the response so far has been truly special and I am very grateful for it and am doing my best to deserve it.

“Issue 8 introduces the Ultimate Guardians of the Galaxy. I hope you enjoy meeting the heroes of the future as much as I enjoyed writing them. This is the most cosmic issue yet, covering the life and death of the universe in 20 pages, exploring new aspects of the ultimate universe through Ultimate America Chavez, which has quickly become my favorite.”

Read on to find out more about what’s in store for the Ultimate Universe this January.

The new Ultimate Universe was created by the Maker, a crazy alternate reality version of Reed Richards, to be a world without superheroes. Manipulating the timestream to usurp the fates of your favorite characters, the Maker and his Council rule Earth from the shadows, twisting truth to ensure their rule. Recently, Maker was locked up for 16 months. When he shows up, there will be a new generation of heroes ready to fight back!

The Ultimate line was a huge success, requiring multiple printings, capturing the excitement of longtime fans, and providing an exciting entry point for new readers. Pre-order the January issue now at your local comic shop. For more information, visit Marvel.com.
