The absolute Superman hasn’t been in that tough pickle since Krypton exploded, as Brainiac captured it in Absolute Superman #11. It seems like there’s a theme right now in an absolute book, as Bane just broke Batman, but now is the time for Superman to break in a completely different way. Absolute Superman #11 opens in Krypton, where Superman’s parents are on trial for crimes against the Science League. Not only are they hanging, but Kalel is also punished. But soon we see that this is all in Superman’s head. It’s kind of torture as Brainiac tries to turn Superman…

When Jeff Remia and Diego Orotegui began running for the JSA, they returned to the core of their team, the legacy of generations. However, they did not talk about the different perspectives of the younger generation compared to the older generation. Instead, Lemire and Olortegui focused on how both groups dealt with the same issue. The young heroes ultimately appreciate the experience and wisdom of their old counterparts. Similarly, older heroes have come to understand the importance of encouraging their younger counterparts to become the best heroes they can be. In the penultimate issue of the “Ragarök” storyline, both generations…

If it’s not a spell, what is a song? The words have changed, their meanings have transcended, their impact is immeasurable. As for the art of Steve Lieber and Tamra Bonvillain and the Image Comics one-shot Closer written by Kieron Gillen, the song is “(They’re close to you for a long time).”. Written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and famous for the 1970 cover of The Carpenters, the song tells the story of a lover who admires the ability of a partner to attract the philosophical attention of birds and stars. Closer takes this song, twists it and turns…

The long-standing remake of The Toxic Avenger finally came out last weekend for a highly radioactive, sparkling review (beat reviews are approaching). The combination of hilariously painful violence and goofy jokes has become the perfect end to summer for the sikkos. Now, legendary comics bring you anthology of graphic novels that allow you to see the world of cinema more widely. As they are already in the store, this should spur the appetite for fans who are keen on the sequel. It’s been a long way from Marvel Studios’ Marvel Zombies animation series. Back in 2021, what should Marvel do? The spinoff series debuted an episode that introduced an alternative universe featuring zombified versions of various heroes, whilst bullying them. Four years later, the Promised Marvel Zombie series is set to premiere on September 24th on Disney+ in just a few weeks. Today, Marvel released the trailer and details. The Marvel Zombie concept first appeared in the “Crossover” arc of the Ultimate Fantastic Four #21-23. Writer Mark Miller and artist Gregland tease the first interaction between the ultimate version and the…
We’ve talked a bit about the recent fate of Archie Comics, but there’s a lot of life left in the franchise! And they’re still surged enough to cross over in the most unlikely places. Scenery scattered by zombies in the dark universe, etc. It’s only billed as the first of a series of blockbuster pop culture collaborations, with Dynamite Entertainment and Archie Comics teaming up for Archie and the military’s darkness. However, this is not the first time two publishers have become tangos. Previously, Redsonja and Vampirella meet Betty and Veronica by Amy Chu and Maria Laura Sanapo. The AOD/Archie…
