PlayStation 5 users received the firmware update (24.06-10.00.00) last week, but have been experiencing a number of bugs while playing Final Fantasy 16, including the game crashing when loading saves or fast traveling. The most notable bug shared by Reddit users involved a wave of black squares approaching players and covering most of the screen.The official Final Fantasy 16 account posted about the issue on Twitter. Meta and Ray-Ban’s parent company EssilorLuxottica have extended their partnership into the next decade. The two companies have been working together since 2019 to produce two generations of Ray-Ban Meta glasses. The agreement between Meta and EssilorLuxottica is expected to result in more “multi-generational smart eyewear products.”The first version was released in late 2021, just before Meta became Facebook, and was called Ray-Ban Stories. Penguin Random House’s acquisition of Boom! Studios in July is now complete, and PRH has announced it has hired a new publisher. Michael Kelly has joined the company as publisher, reporting to Jen Harned, president and executive director of business administration and publishing operations for BOOM! Studios. Harned, who joined Boom as CFO three years ago, will now report to Scott Shannon, president of Random House World, the PRH portfolio of publishers that will include Boom. Last weekend, a trailer for the upcoming film, Venom: The Last Dance, was released, surprising fans with the possibility that Null would appear as the film’s main villain — a shock to the character’s original creators, Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman, as Null, the god of all symbiotes, has appeared quite frequently in Marvel film adaptations recently.
