Images reveal extensive programming plans

Image is the country’s largest indie publisher, so it’s no surprise that the comic house has one of its biggest programs scheduled for this weekend’s New York Comic Con. On Wednesday, Image officials unveiled nearly a dozen panels featuring Image titles throughout the four days of NYCC.

Things start bright early Thursday morning with a spotlight panel on The Ministry of Truth with James Tynion IV and Martin Simmons, as the pair recap the book’s past five years while teasing its immediate future.

There will also be panels spotlighting creators like Todd McFarlane, J. Scott Campbell and Brian K. Vaughn, while Invincible, Transformers and GI Jaws will also have their own panels.

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Ministry of Truth
Now, more than ever, the Ministry of Truth looks less like fiction and more like a conspiracy to be uncovered. Series creators James Tynion IV and Martin Simmons discuss the first five years of the series and what the next five years will be like. Hosted by Steve Fox.

Image Comics Presents: The Future of Comics
Step into the world of creator-owned comics and hear from the most exciting voices shaping the future of the medium. Join Jeff Lemire (Little Monsters), Dustin Nguyen (Little Monsters), Caspar Wijngaard (The Power Fantasy), Chris Condon (News From The Fallout), Marjorie Liu (Monstress), and Deniz Camp (Assorted Crisis Events) for an unfiltered conversation about rule-breaking, world-building, and the stories only they can create. Expect behind-the-scenes stories, sneak peeks at upcoming projects, and rich insights into how the minds of our creators keep Image at the forefront of the industry. Moderated by Jim Viscardi, Image Comic’s Vice President of Business Development.

An evening with audience member Brian K. Vaughan
Meet Brian K. Vaughn, award-winning author of Saga, Y: The Last Man, and Paper Girls, at The Strand Bookstore in New York City for a special panel and autograph session celebrating his highly anticipated new graphic novel, The Spectators. Vaughn will discuss his creative process, the inspiration behind his groundbreaking story, and what readers can expect from this latest release, followed by an audience Q&A and autograph session in the Rare Book Room.

Comics legend Todd McFarlane (Spawn) shares what it really takes to create, build, and overcome obstacles. From breaking into comics to dealing with everyday challenges, Todd brings real stories, practical advice, and inspiration to fans, creators, and anyone chasing their dreams.

Exquisite Corpse: Games (Live Play & Panels)
This year’s horror event is coming to a game store near you. Join James Tynion IV, Michael Walsh, and the “Corps Crew” for a first look live play of Exquisite Corpses: The Game, followed by a panel and Q+A with giveaways. Get ready to represent your favorite killer.

Invincible panel The best invincible panel ever
Join Emmy Award winners Steven Yeun, Gillian Jacobs, co-creator, co-showrunner and executive producer Robert Kirkman, and members of the star-studded voice cast for an exclusive conversation filled with Season 4 teases, behind-the-scenes insights, and surprises that Invincible fans won’t want to miss. Plus, behind-the-scenes anecdotes about the creation of some of our most popular and iconic pieces. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or new to the world of comics, this rare opportunity to get inside the minds of these creators is a must-see.
