IDW discussed the future issues of the horror imprint IDW Dark at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. It also dropped exclusive previews of numerous new series.

Idw Dark presents a scary cartoon

Under the Tree No One Sees: Spring Ritual (written and illustrated by Patrick Horvas) is a sequel to be held eight years after his predecessor, under the Tree No One Sees. The story focuses on a brown bear named Samantha Strong, which happens to be Woodbrook’s horrifying serial killer.

Return To Sleepy Hollow is a sequel to Tim Burton’s 1999 film Sleepy Hollow. The series takes place 15 years after the film. Ichabod Crane is reunited with Katrina after receiving a letter about the chain of murders in Sleepy Hollow. The series is written by Eisner Award winner Casey Gilley and illustrated by Savannah Mayer.

Twilight Zone is IDW Dark’s upcoming anthology series based on classic television shows. All the issues are black and white, with different creators. The first article is written by Dan Watters and features featured art by Morgan Beam.

Event Horizon: Dark Decent, written by Christian Ward as Tristan Jones’ art, is a first part series to the 1997 horror film “Event Horizon.” The series explores the horrifying journey and ultimate fate of the film’s original crew. Readers also meet Paimon, the “eyeless King’s Hell” that wreaked havoc for Captain Killpack and his team.

The exorcism at 1600 Penn (written by Hannah Rose May and depicted by Venesa del Rey) centers around fictional female president Kelly Doyle. Shortly after her election, the White House experienced a supernatural invasion, raising tensions in an already busy world.

Gavin Fullerton’s Tuatha tells the story of a princess traveling with the king’s head. Throughout her adventures, she faces many challenges, including violent tribes. She also fights against many lesser known gods she meets.

30 Days Night: Falling Sun is a new series from IDW Dark, taking place in the original 30 Days Night World. The comic revolves around Alaskan vampires and their prey. 30 Days Night: Falling Sun has a huge creative team including Rodney Barnes, Patrick Horvath, Gavin Fullerton, Sean Peacock, and Chris Shehan.
