Marvel Comics celebrates the Month of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage, Voice of Marvel: The Heritage of Marvel’s first Latin superheroes, specially from Comnidades, celebrating the Month of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage. This special one-shot features two powerful stories of acclaimed author Daniel Jose Old and artist Bruno Abdias, as well as two powerful stories of Bram Stalker Award-winning author Cynthia Pelayo and artist Mois Hidalgo. Abdias and Pelayo make their Marvel Comics debut on this issue.
The comic delves into moments never seen before from the original White Tiger life, pushing the present White Tiger Ava Ayala into a bold new chapter. As Ava revives her bond with the mystical tiger god, she forces her to stand up to her past, and is drawn into the dangerous mystery of facing her long-dead brother Hector.
“This story marks a major turning point for the decades of White Tiger saga,” the older said. “It’s always a profound honor to continue the legacy that Bill Mantoro and George Perez started.”
“As a Puerto Rican author, I am honored to have made my Marvel debut with the White Tiger,” Pelayo added. “This is the chance for new and long-time readers to discover the rich legacy of America’s first Latin American superheroes.”
To mark this opportunity, Marvel also went on to mark the J.D. through the issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and Incredible Hulk in October. The incredible Hulk issue drawn by Gonzo releases a variant cover of the White Tiger Team Up. Each cover features a different white tiger, Angela dello, or AVA, which appears along with the book’s main character.
White Tiger Reborn #1 hit the comic shop this October, featuring a main cover of Mike Hawthorne and a variant by Rising Marvel Cover artist Jhony Caballero. Now they are open in advance at local comic shops.
