AIPT: This new Batman suit seems to evoke even more bats. Is that on purpose?
Nick Dragotta: Absolutely. We looked to bats for inspiration. I think reading this story will reinforce what I just said. The idea was that this wasn’t a new Batman or look, but a feature. And what’s interesting is that now everyone is talking about how different he looks. It really helped give him a new feeling. It all goes back to the story and who this Bruce Wayne is and every aspect of his costume. It’s no longer just a utility belt. It is a utility cowl or utility suit cape. You can use any of them.
