Marvel Comics revealed that Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti will take over Captain America in July. In time for July 4th, this story involves Captain America being tasked with infiltrating Latveria after World War II, leading to his previously immeasurable first encounter with Dr. Doctor Doom.

“I’ve been a fan of a massive Captain America for decades. I loved writing old caps with Grizzle in the Avengers: Twilight, so writing the actual Captain America title is a dream It feels like that!” Zdarsky shared. “I think we’ll really surprise our readers with the early days of Cap, especially with the incredible art from Valerio and Frank, and we’re very excited to bring this out there in the world!

The series features insights into Captain America’s role and heritage, learning how much the world has changed in his absence. This secret conflict returns to haunt all involved as the series progresses to the current storyline. Plus, fans are looking forward to capping the perfect cap for an all-new stealth uniform and leading an entirely new group of Howling Commands.

“I’ve come close to this title in a way that’s close to the run at Daredevil. I’m really trying to get to Cap’s head, seeing a human grounded who’s in this new world. Steve Rogers said It’s the best for us. I want it to pass through every page.”

Check out the designs by Captain America’s Schiti below.

“Captain America is one of my greatest favorites of all time,” City added. “After an amazing experience with Marvel 2-in-One, we’re reuniting with Chip Zdarsky and Frank D’Armata. We’re working on a story that perfectly balances mind, action and entertainment. But the most exciting one is What’s unexpected is that I realized I was thinking more and more about Steve Rogers, not Captain America.

“Chip’s script is so clever and fascinating that readers are sure to be dragged alongside us in Steve’s heart and soul. He is in the living embodiment of truth, justice and freedom. He fought the war against Nazism, “dead” in that war, and returned to life to fulfill his duties and fight again. It’s a lot of pressure and if you do math, he’s only in this late 20s in the age we’re exploring! ”

New York, New York – February 20, 2025 – Today, author Chip Zudarski made a surprising appearance at Marvel Comics Comics Pro Presentation, and along with artist Valerio City, Captain America’s total in July this year We have announced that we will be writing a new run!

Following their breathtaking recent work on Zdarsky’s Eisner nominated Daredevil and Schiti’s Avengers and Gods, the two acclaimed creators have the world seen Captain America forever We’ll help you change the way! The opening arc of their game-changing new run takes place during periods that are rarely explored. After the World War II hero emerged from frozen suspension animations, he appeared before he joined the Avengers. This story, which declassifies Steve Rogers’ first mission after re-entering the US Army, leads to Captain America’s first infiltration of Latveria, leading to his previously immeasurable first encounter with Dr. Doctor Doom. I’m looking at it. It is packed with bold and relevant insights into Captain America’s role and heritage. He learns how much the world has changed in his absence, and this secret conflict returns to haunt all involved as the series moves on to the current storyline. Plus, fans are looking forward to capping the perfect cap for an all-new stealth uniform and leading an entirely new group of Howling Commands.

The world changed while Captain America slept in the ice. He awakens to the reality in which combat is fought in the shadows through secrets and sinking, and the villains are not so easy to identify. When a fledgling dictator named Victor von Doom conquer Latveria, Steve faces a critical decision: adapting to a new kind of war, or will he make his own path? And what does the choices he makes in the past mean for his future?
